Recently completed projects for our clients.

Education Material Repository. In this project, we used Python to create agents that harvest content from digital libraries around the world, using the Open Archives Initiative (OIA) data protocol. These agents are customized for each OIA implementation and the harvested content is stored in a Postgres database. A customized Django application then allows users to rate, share, and comment on the content they’ve read.

Lab Management Information System (LMIS). The application was written in Plone and Zope 2 for the semiconductor-testing laboratory of Advanced Micro devices (AMD). It features a Web-based customized workflow to track each sample as it progresses through the lab. Images from test equipment are stored in a Zope object-oriented database and presented to lab staff and customers in photo albums. The LMIS is a true customer extranet, allowing lab clients to create lab jobs, submit samples, and track the progress of the job through the lab.

Document-Sharing Application.  This Django-based application allows users to create and share content folders and upload any type of document. Sharing can be done at either the folder or document level. Drag-and-drop technology allows document owners to move documents from one folder to another via a mouse action. As part of the project, Zojax wrote a front-end application that allows customers to select an account plan and then pay using real-time credit card authorization.

Mail Archiving Application. Zojax took a stalled TurboGears application and fixed longstanding bugs. Following this, we worked with the client to add new features requested by its customers. Using our .NET expertise, Zojax integrated the application with Microsoft Outlook and wrote a plug-in to allow users to search for archived messages from Outlook. Currently deployed on several hundred servers, this application is actively supported by Zojax and sold worldwide by Dell.

International Google Mapping API. The customer wished to display on their site a custom map of the world with clickable zones for regions and countries. As map users drill down, a listing of shipping agents and locations display in a table. When a specific agent or location is selected, the exact location is shown in Google maps with a display of detailed information such as phone number, address, types of products handled, and hours that the facility is open.
